St. Peter's Basilica, Venice

Probably the most incredible cathedral I've ever visited. Awe-inspiring, from the exquisite exterior architectural detail to the intricate mosaics on a gold-foil background that cover the vaulted ceilings inside. Because Venice is slowly sinking, parts of the cathedral floor are underwater at high tide and you actually have to use raised walkways to get around. The tables in the foreground hint at the cafes that line the piazza (out of the frame to the left), where I spent hours listening to live music and sipping some of the world's best cappucinos.
